Seller's comments and description: 1958 ford fairlane 500 sunliner convertible. This car is almost too nice to drive and should be in a museum or collection but does drive nicely. This has the 332 interceptor 4v engine which is correct but not numbers matching to the car & cruise-o-matic transmission. This started out as an almost rust free car and it has all of the original sheet metal. One of the front fenders may have been replaced at one time but it had no rust. There have been several updates such as:· power disc brakes front· alternator· ford thompson power steering pump (the original eaton pumps usually leak)· pertronix electronic ignitionthe stainless on the car was mostly nos with some pieces being restored. All the chrome that was not nos has been re-plated & is in show condition except for the convertible snap trim which was re-plated but not a very good job. The rear bumper was re-plated to show condition but a small chip happened near one of the bumper bolts.
